11) This picture is taken same date as 10).

10) 25-9-2003, there was very little flow in the brook at the waterfall. At that occasion I found the caddis Wormaldia occipitalis on the vertical slate surface.

9) The invertebrate fauna in the brook here is very sparse because of the ochre.

8) The sediment in Risebæk near the road "Strandvejen". Heavy deposits of ochre.

7) Risebæk waterfall, summer 2002

6) This is my wife Jette, seen from the waterfall in the direction to the sea about 100 m ahead.

5) This is the galleries of the tube-dwelling caddis Tinodes pallidulus, which is very common in many streams and brooks on Bornholm. The dark dots are limpets, Ancylus fluviatilis.

4) If you look at the vertical surfaces, you can see worm-like tubes...

3) Same as preceeding picture, closer up.

2) The brook drains an area covered with deposits of slate. This is a more recent picture (16-6-2001).

1) Risebæk is a small brook on the southern part of the island. Near the outlet is a beautiful 2½ m waterfall. Picture taken in 1981

12) This picture is captured by Finn Hansen in early spring. Notice the heavy ochre precipitations.
