3) If you would like to know how much "power" there is in the stream, then visit the area in the autumn. Remember to wear boots, as the paths are very slippery!

2) The water falls at Gyldenså are fantastic! The largest one is situated ca. 800 m from Strandvejen. The rift valley area is protected, but you are alloved to follow the paths.

6) Accumulated twigs and branches shows the water-level at peak discharge.

16) At this locality the stream divides in two. This is in fact a catch divice for Sea trout. You can still see the grating.

15) This part of the stream is found ca. 450 m upstream Strandvejen.

14) This is the same catch device, seen from the upposit direction.

13) One more catch device for Sea trout. Løbet er delt op i to. Those trouts that are passing to the right of the dividing stones are trapped by a grating/grill.

12) Two days later i visited the stream again. Now the discharge was markedly lower. This section is from the lower part, ca. 200 m upstream Strandvejen. 16-1-2003.

11) This is the outlet. In the foreground, right, there is a catch device for catching Sea trout during their spawning run. 14-1-2003.

10) This picture is captured at a small springbrook, where you can find Thaumalea, and other typical spring inhabitants)

9) Here is the large Gyldenså waterfall once again!

8) If you wish to look for the dipper, then look at the stones protruding above the water surface - excrements shows you, if the dipper is around.

7) In the wintertime you can observe the dipper at Gyldenså.

5) These pictures are captured during a spate 14-1-2003

4) Gyldenså.

1) Gyldenså has a catchment area of 25,1 km2 and is the largest of the rift valley streams on Bornholm. The faunal composition is very much like Kobbeå. 1987.
